The 1,000-foot (300-meter) falls are often called a living phenomenon because they are continuously rebuilt from calcium carbonate and sodium deposits in the river. One of the only waterfalls in the world that actually empties directly into the sea, Dunn’s River Falls was used for location footage in both the Tom Cruise movie Cocktail and James Bond film Dr. No. 

Of Dunn’s River Falls’ 1,000 feet, 600 (183 meters) are available for you to climb. The naturally chiseled steps give you stability, and the lagoons that form on the different “levels” give you places to cool off on your way up and down.
